Nu-jazz Brazilian artist FABIANA PASSONI has a distinct sultry, voice and a fresh interpretive style. Her songs are a combination of jazz fusion with the older rhythms of Brazil such as bossa nova, baiao, and samba. Her interpretations are passionate, heartfelt, and exciting. Fabiana has graced the smooth jazz independent charts (Top 30) with several singles and EPs. Her 2015 EP, Inner Bossa remained on the Top 50 Smooth Jazz chart for 26 consecutive weeks. Fabiana was awarded the 2012 Brazilian International Press Award for best Brazilian female singer living in the United States. Website: www.fabianapassoni.com

STEPHANIE OZER (pianist) performs in jazz festivals, concert venues, intimate clubs, house concerts, corporate events and weddings — in ensembles of jazz, folk, klezmer, and Brazilian jazz. Stephanie’s CD, "O Começo: New Beginnings in Brazilian Jazz”, was recorded in Rio de Janeiro with the legendary, Grammy winning vocalist Leny Andrade with whom she has subsequently toured. Nominated twice as Best Jazz Musician in the North Bay, Stephanie holds a classical Piano Performance Degree from the University Of Michigan School of Music. She teaches from her home studio in Sonoma Valley and at Jazz Camp West.  With her inventive and poetic musical spirit,  Stephanie performs in the Bay Area and nationwide — solo to sextet — in genre bending music in collaboration and as band leader with top flight musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, including vocalists Claudia Vilella, Maria Marquez, Sax/flautists Mary Fettig and Harvey Weinapple, bass players Peter Barshay and Scott Thompson and guitarists Luiz Brasil and Randy Vincent. RUTH AHLERS (saxophone), a recent transplant to Sonoma County, CA from the East Coast enjoys performing in diverse genres. Big band experience includes the New Xavier Cugat Orchestra, the Jimmy Dorsey Band, and Diva Jazz Orchestra. Theatrical pit orchestra work includes a tour of Brazil with a production of Grease. She has been a featured performer at the Yellowstone Jazz Festival in Cody, Wyoming. Her attraction to melody, infectious rhythm, and lush harmonies led naturally to her ongoing study of Brazilian music. She also teaches privately and served as an adjunct woodwind instructor at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. More info about Ruth at her Website: http://www.ruthahlers.com/

CARLOS HENRIQUE PEREIRA (keyboard/guitar) is a composer, piano and acoustic guitar player from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Although he studied classical music and jazz, Carlos is primarily a self-taught composer. In 1983 he was the youngest composer ever, at the time, to have a work selected for a Biennial of Brazilian Contemporary Music in Rio de Janeiro, where his music was played alongside some of the greatest Brazilian modern composers. In 1987 he released his first LP. The album, with eight original compositions, was later reissued in CD format by the British label Timeless Records and released in Europe and Japan. In 2003, Carlos released his second CD of original music titled "Água e Terra." In 2009 Carlos was awarded a grant that lead to the release of his third album ("Minas Gerais"), in 2011. The album received high praises from critics and fans in Brazil, and was nominated for the 24th Brazilian Music Awards (Brazil’s equivalent to the Grammy’s). Carlos relocated to Northern California in 2012 and has become a permanent fixture in the Napa/Sonoma/San Francisco area music scene. http://www.carloshpereira.com
